Depends how your carrier has implemented them. Some carriers will send an SMS message, while others hook directly into the messaging app that comes pre-installed on your phone. Pulse SMS will not provide these alerts for every carrier, we do not have a way to tell you which carriers do and do not send them through SMS.
So, some people will get them through Pulse SMS, others will not.
