How contact storage works and how you can update it. Applies to the web, desktop, and Chrome apps.
- When you set up a Pulse account, it uploads the contacts that you have on your phone, to the cloud (end to end encrypted).
- When you open the web, desktop, or Chrome apps, it will download these contacts to your computer.
- The Android app will check to see if it needs to upload any new contacts, once per day.
If you do not see some of your contacts on the web, desktop, or Chrome apps, there are two steps to update them:
- Re-upload your contacts to the cloud. To do this, on the phone app you can go to "my account" -> "resync contacts".
- Re-download the contacts from the cloud, to the computer. To do this, head to the compose screen of the web, desktop, or Chrome apps (by hitting the + button in the bottom right corner). Once there, tap the "refresh" button in the top right corner. It could take some time to download, depending on the number of contacts you have.
