A Fresh Look for the Background Shop
The Background Shop has been redesigned for a better browsing experience! It’s now split into two categories—Backgrounds and Filters—making it easier to find the perfect customization options for your collages.
Background vs. Filter – What's the Difference?

Background – A design or pattern placed behind your collage or photo to enhance its look. Backgrounds add style and personality without changing your original images. Examples include pets, spring break, and sweet treats.

Filter – A color or lighting effect applied directly to your photos to change their appearance. Filters adjust tones, brightness, and contrast to create different moods. Examples include timeless, vibrant, and fresh.
Both can be used to customize your collages, but backgrounds decorate the space around your images, while filters change the look of the images themselves.
Hint: You can change how much of the background image is seen by adjusting the border width.
How to access the Background Shop
- In the collage editing screen, tap the Backgrounds button in the upper-left corner of the menu bar.
- Tap the All button to see the Background Shop.
- Choose a background set and tap Add. The backgrounds in the set will now be available in the collage editing screen.
How to access the Filter Shop
- While on the collage editing screen, drag and drop your selected photos onto the collage. After placing them, double-tap any image to open the photo editing screen.
- Tap the All button to see the Filter Shop.
- Choose a filter set and tap Add. The filters in the set will now be available on the photo editing screen.
